Tarot Tip Tuesdays - Keep It Simple Again: Another Reading Using Tarot And Numerology

Whether you are new to Tarot and in the throes of building a connection with your Tarot cards or an advanced Tarot reader diligently honing your Tarot reading skills, I am putting out a Tarot tip a week to help you to consistently make Tarot a part of your everyday life.

So here goes your Tarot Tip for this Tuesday:
After posting last week's blog post for  Tarot Tip Tuesday,  I had several emails and messages from clients, protégés and friends who thought that the blog post was very useful.  So I had decided to do another one.  Someone requested that I included some basic traits of each number for a high level numerological interpretation that were "easy-to-remember".  That was a fabulous idea and I certainly hope that true to the spirit of this blogpost, the content will help you keep your readings simple.

Numerological Traits

Here are a list of numerological traits attached to each number. Although these traits listed here are brief and provide you only a high level summary of the vibrational energy attached to each number, they are quite useful whenever you calculate a querant's basic numerological makeup like his or her character and lifepath numbers,

1:   Ambitious, Aggressive, Stubborn, Innovative
2:   Tactful, Thrive in peaceful, harmonious situations, Clingy, Intuitive, Sensitive
3:   Creative, Expressive, Communicative, Happy-go-lucky, Fun-loving
4:   Organized,  Structured, Disciplined, Hardworking
5:   Restless, Needs mental stimulation, Easily bored, Loves travel, Adventurous
6:   Nurturing, Giving, Selfless, Family-oriented, Good with communication, Soft persuasion skills
7:  Thinker, Analyzer, Loner, Spiritual
8:  Entrepreneurial, Business-minded, Financially savvy, Hard-nosed, Hardworking, Persistent, workaholic
9:  Generous, Humanitarian, Protective of space, Knowledge seeking, Idealistic

Step 1: Obtain the basic information from your querant.  All you would need is a birthdate and a focused question. Remember to keep the question focused so that the advice provided can be a focused one.

The Client: Brian

Birthdate:  26 July 1979
Astrological Sign : Leo

Question: I have been looking for a job for the past 1 year after resigning from a previous job due to my inability to get along with a new boss that joined the team after a re-organization happened in the company. What is the possibility of finding a new job ?

Step 2: Calculate your querant's character and lifepath numbers. These will offer you a glimpse of your querant's attitudes and behavior and how he or she responds to a given situation.

Character (behavior and attitudes ) : Add the compound number of your querant's day of birth.  In this case, his day of birth is 26, so his character number is 8  (2+6 = 8).

Brian's character number was 8, corresponding to the Strength card in tarot. This indicated that he was a  very persevering person in the face of challenges. 8 was the number of one who had a special gift for business as he could conceive ideas and plans on a grand scale. He had good executive skills and was a good judge of values. With his dogger personality, Brian would not have a problem looking for that job because he would leave no stones unturned. If he wanted to try his hand at establishing his own business, that could be an alternative option with which he could meet his goals too.  Brian's character number is aligned with the traits of his astrological sign Leo too.  As a Leo, he was dynamic and ambitious and enjoyed making an impression on others, although sometimes he could come across as being quite aggressive and domineering.  He had to temper his  aggressiveness, and forward attitude so that he did not come across as being too overbearing and consequently intimidating to the hiring managers  whom he had interviewed with.  So my advice to Brian was to harness the strengths of his character 8 and his astrological sign Leo to approach his job search with optimism, confidence and determination.

Life Path (Opportunities and lessons in life) : Add the day of birth, month of birth and year of birth.  Then add up the individual numbers of the compound number.    In this case, by adding up his day of birth 26, his month of birth 7 and his year of birth  1979, the compound number is 41. On further reduction of that compound number, his life path number is 5 (2+6+7+1+9+7+9 = 41).  Then reduce the compound number (4+1 = 5).

Brian's life path was  5. This told me that life offered him opportunities to be catalyst for change and required him to be flexible and resilient to these changes. He needed freedom of thought, freedom to explore new things. He needed to walk a journey that was off the beaten track, and  travel to gain more knowledge.  With his lifepath 5, I advised Brian to be opened to job opportunities that may stretch him outside of his comfort zone.  This will offer him opportunities to learn new skills and gain new knowledge.  I also advised him to roll with the punches when he came face to face with organizational changes in future,  by viewing such changes as an opportunity to step up and shine, he could possibly make a difference to his team or the company.

Step 3: Now that you have got a glimpse of your querant's attitudes and how he or she might respond to a given situation, you can create a simple Tarot spread.  Use the birthdate numerology to deepen the insight from the cards and guide you as you provide your querants a focused advice.

Tarot cards picked:  Past - Queen of Swords ; Present - Page of Pentacles Reversed; Future - 2 of Cups

Past - Queen of Swords
If the  Queen of Swords was a manifestation of Brian in his past, it seemed to be a reflection of his sentiments that he had the skills, experience and knowledge needed for whatever job he set his sights on.  However, knowing that he had a character number 8 and was a Leo and that he might have come across as arrogant, domineering or overbearing, I cautioned Brian that he needed to sell his skills and talent with an approach that convinced the hiring managers he was not only talented and skilled but was a humble person who could work cohesively within a team.  As the Queen of Swords, it could also be a manifestation of Brian in his last job trying to assert his independence and shine above his new boss with his experience and skills, when what he should have done was to proactively assure his new boss that his skills and experience would be a good support for the boss. I would not be surprised with this and his "Queen of Swords" hard-edged attitude could have come between them both.
This was a good experience for Brian because what he should have done was to harness the resilience and flexibility afforded him with his lifepath number 5 to manage that boss.

Present - Page of Pentacles Reversed
The reversed Page was a manifestation of the current blockages standing in the way of his achieving his career goals. He might have been nurturing ideas in his mind, and trying to think about his goals and the best type of jobs that suited him but he was possibly not doing enough to put an action plan together to ensure he could achieve these goals in a practical manner. This lined up with the restlessness from his lifepath number 5 so Brian was advised to be more grounded in his approach to evaluating his career goals and the direction he was steering to get to his goals.  At the same time, the Page also indicated that in his job search, he was focusing too much on short-term goals, for example, his need for financial security  rather than sustainable and long-term goals. He would  need to move beyond material satisfaction and towards what would bring him sustainable happiness and fulfillment.

Future - 2 of Cups
The 2 of Cups assured Brian that he would be able to find a job soon that would fulfill him and would tap on his creativity.  There would be organizational fit between him and his new role and he would be enjoying a lot of connection with his new boss and colleagues.  With the persistent nature of his character 8, I had no doubt that Brian would be able to find that job he wanted and achieve his career goals.  As a Leo, I advised that as long as he remained true to his vision and went out there to make an impression with his optimism and confidence, his hiring managers would find that he could be an asset to the company.
As you can see, the Tarot spread is small and all it took was the querant's birthdate to add another dimension to the advice given. Although the process was quite straightforward and simple, the advice given to the querant is robust enough to empower him to work on it and change his course of action to achieve his goals,
You can try it some time.   If you need to understand the different vibrational energy and traits attached to each number when you calculate one's numerology, do refer again to the list of numerological traits appended within this blogpost.

May your Tarot cards provide you with a full deck of possibilities throughout your day.

Add Greater Depth To Tarot Readings With Numerology And Astrology

I built my niche over the years through my reading style of combining Numerology, Tarot and Astrology in a reading.  I thoroughly enjoyed doing so because I often use the querant's numerological make-up and the astrological influences that surrounded him or her to obtain even deeper insights from the Tarot cards I picked for him or her. Because of the depth in the readings, it has helped me provide advice-centric readings that empowered the querant to make the right decisions to move forward with his or her issues.  Here is an example of how you could do the same in your reading.

The Client: Yvonne

Birthdate: 12 February 1980

Astrological Sign : Aquarius

Question: I feel that my colleagues do not value my inputs at work and I cannot seem to get along with them.  What can I do to garner some respect and recognition at work?

The Numerological Assessment:

The day of birth is very useful when it comes to assessing a querant's behavior or attitude.  To determine Yvonne 's, you will need to add up her day of birth, that is, 1+ 2 = 3.
Her character number that governs her behavior and attitude is a 3. This indicates that she is a vibrant person full of vitality and energy.  She needs to work in an environment that allows her to have space for creative expression. Being highly expressive, the work environment within which she works should tap on her expressive nature instead of suppressing it.  In this situation, I can see Yvonne attempting to build a collegiate relationship with the team at work and she should continuously harness her sunshine personality to do so. If she is not doing this well, then this indicates that her work environment could be one that is not proactively fostering an open communication amongst the team.   Also, the company could be a conventional one and that could also stifle Yvonne's need for creative expression. The good thing about her is that she is able to bounce back quickly from any setbacks that she may face.  So she is advised to harness the strengths of her 3 character to put any negative past behind her so that she can  focus on  positively building better relationship and communication with the team.

Life path numbers provide a semblance of the opportunities and lessons that life will offer her.  To determine Yvonne's, you will need to add up her day of birth, to the month of birth to the year of birth (1+2+2+1+9+8+0 = 2+3 (add up the compound number 23) = 5). So Yvonne's Lifepath number is 5.  Her Lifepath 5 number, tells me that life offers her opportunities to be a catalyst of change. She is adventurous and open to walking the unbeaten track.  Given this lifepath number, it is obvious that Yvonne will not flinch when faced with these issues at work. Her question needed no rephrasing because it was quite clear that she was looking to proactively work within the limitations and constraints of the company and was happy to adapt to the situation. Freedom of thought and freedom of expression are all very important to her.  This lines up wth her Aquarius sign which I will talk about later. This also lines up with her Character number 3 and emphasizes her strong desire to create a space within the office where she could add value creatively.   As you can see, Yvonne's numbers should influence her to  approach this challenge as a new learning experience for growth.  I could see a hint of that as evidenced in the way she framed her question.  Another thing special about Yvonne is that as one with a life path 5, she will have plenty of opportunities to multi-task at work with differing projects.  While she would be good at it, she needs to also ensure that she does not scatter her energies too much as fuelled by her Character number 3.  If anything falls through the cracks with these projects because of her inability to stay focused, it might affect her colleagues' trust in her reliability.

The Astrological Assessment:

Yvonne is born under the Zodiacal sign of Aquarius,  which is governed by the planet Uranus.  Known also as the God of the Sky, Uranus is often associated with change, non-conformity, revolutionary tendencies and idealistic expectations.  The planetary influence propels Yvonne's need for self-realization and freedom from expectations. Aquarius is governed by Air element and represented by The Star and The King of Swords in Tarot.  This explains Yvonne's idealistic expectations about her colleagues all getting along as one big happy family when she joined the company.  When she realized it was not to be so, the situation compelled her to go into a tailspin of deep analysis about what she had done wrong, and why she was not accepted by the team.  So I advised her to balance all the thinking with a practical plan to help her win her colleagues over. She was also advised not to have too high expectations of her colleagues as some may not be as open and communicative as she had hoped them to be.  Funnily, Aquarius people have problems expressing emotions. They find it embarrassing to show too much of emotions.  So Yvonne should balance that limitation from her Zodiacal influences and harness the expressive nature of her character number 3 instead.
Now that I have assessed her numerological and astrological influences in order to provide her some forward-looking advice, I then created a Tarot spread to understand her situation in better depth.

The Tarot Spread:

Current Situation  - 8 of Cups + The Tower Reversed

These cards clearly affirm Yvonne's stand that she felt under-appreciated. Even though she had done all she could within her work environment, she felt that her colleagues were not recognizing he value she brought to the table.  While she recognized that the easy way out was to walk away from it all,  she also knew that would only mean that she was giving up and not ready to effect positive change for herself.  The change needed was in learning to be open to the opinions of others and approach everything at work as a new learning curve.  She needed to adapt herself to the situation and not have idealistic expectations limit her.  While changing this perspective was difficult and adapting to the new job environment was going to be tough, she understood it was necessary. As an Aquarian, she could possibly been turning over and over in her head,  that question of "Should I leave or should I stay in the company?" or assessing the "what-if" of each option opened to her. What would be more important was for her was her resolve to change her perspective and look at a plan to better engage her colleagues.

Obstacle - Ace of Wands

The Ace of Wands as an obstacle suggested that the state of being constantly  embroiled in disagreements at work may be stripping her off her energy levels and leaving her feeling incredibly unmotivated and uninspired. She might have felt that her creative ideas got put down or was not appreciated or perhaps she felt that she was not given opportunities to express her creativity and take action on her ideas.  These had made her increasingly frustrated and disillusioned.  Remember, she has a Character number 3 which means that if her colleagues were indeed not valuing her creative inputs and not giving her ample opportunities to express herself freely, of course she would be very frustrated!

Advice - 8 of Swords + 3 of Swords Reversed
As a Character number 3, her sensitive nature did influence the way she responded to the situation.  These cards affirmed the impact the experience had in her but they also advise Yvonne to approach her issues with a more open-minded perspective of the situation.  This affirms that she needed to learn to be open to differing opinions of others and not view it as their non-acceptance of her creative ideas.  She had to let go of the residual negativity and disappointment she felt about her colleagues or anything that her colleagues had said to affect her in the past.  This will allow her to move forward with positivity, hone new skills of resilience and adaptability and allow her to build a better relationship with her colleagues.

Outcome - Knight of Swords

The Knight revealed that Yvonne would be moving forward from this episode by going all out with the job, pushing herself to reach her goals without letting anyone or anything stand in her way. I hope she would be arguing her point of view tactfully when she needs to do so.  While managing her projects and targets with clear ambition and enthusiasm, I truly hope she would be open to others' opinions at the same time as per my advice from the previous cards.  She could pose to be challenging for the quieter and less out-spoken colleagues so she needs to be quite careful or else she might view these challenges as her colleagues' non -acceptance of her creative ideas again.

Summary

As you can see, the majority of the suits within the spread are Swords cards. Swords cards are governed by Air element and are associated with intellect, perceptions, mental conflicts and communication. I can see that a lot of Yvonne's issues are dictated by her perceptions of the situation and she needs to learn to adapt and open her mind to alternative views.  The communication breakdown and disharmony can also be seen by the heavy presence of the swords cards and this makes it even more evident that while she needs to harness her gifts of creative expression, she would be required to put her point across in a more tactful manner and accept the opinions of others as well.  Her lifepath 5 makes her adaptable to such challenging work environment  and her creative traits driven by her character number 3 should help her navigate the interpersonal relationships at work.  As an Aquarian, instead of imposing such high expectations on how her colleagues should respond to her ideas, she should instead think about a logical plan to bring her colleagues into the effort of co-creating the ideas with her.

Trust In The Message Behind Every Vision

I used to struggle with my visions as I developed my clairvoyant and clairsentient skills.  You see, I was brought up to assess a situation and provide a solution through a rational decisioning process.  Embracing the "alien" concept of  allowing my intuition to lead the way took a lot of time, persistence and patience.  However, I am so glad that I am not treading this journey alone. I found a safe space within which I could slowly open up to surrendering to my higher self and trusting  my intuition.

When I was guided by my intuition to look further into a situation beyond the actual questions that my clients had approached me with, I knew it would be the Universe’s way of telling me that I could do a lot more to help the client, and there were more messages that I was compelled to provide.

Last week, my client Ava, who lived in Frankfurt,  approached me for advice on an issue regarding whether or not to sell her home so that she could relocate to France, to work and live. It seemed to be a straight forward reading at first glance but when I started channeling for her, I was in for a surprise.
So let me explain the process I took to do her reading.

Piecing A Story Together Through Channeling
First I went into meditation to clear my mind and ground myself.  Then I channeled Ava and ran my hands across my chakra points to find where her blockages were. My crown and third eye chakras were buzzing which indicated to me that Ava’s crown and third eye chakras could be opened and she might be more intuitive than she was aware of or she had let on.  My heart chakra was burning and I felt a cord of negativity there which indicated to me that Ava might have had suffered an emotional trauma, heartbreak or disappointment.  She had been clinging to it for awhile.  I made a mental note to ask her for permission later to cut that cord once I did more channeling to find out the underlying cause for the presence of that cord.  So that was when I was overwhelmed by a huge wave of depression, sadness and claustrophobia.  It was almost choking me.  I knew then that it was a negative energy surrounding Ava that I was dealing with then.  The message I got then, was to look into that house and whomever lives or had lived in there.
I then went into a process of "visioning".  As I had visions forming in my mind's eye, I wrote down everything I saw.  Every minute that I had spent writing out the words, I felt my heart weighed increasingly heavier with despair and anger.  I knew, as a psychic empath, that they were not mine but that belonging to the energy or Ava herself.  These are what I wrote:   1) Someone leaving through a door, some luggage was next to him. The man had a hat and an old fashioned leather luggage, much like one dressed in the 50s maybe? Or 60s? 2) A man in between 2 women.  There was a 3rd party conflict or a love affair? 3) Mental anguish over 2 people or dual personality?  A decision or choice must be made. 4) A dark room with a small window.  It looks like a room, hospital room or a room like in a prison cell?  5) I feel a lot of fear, anxiety, and depression. 6) A tall building that looks like a clock tower nearby., 7) A train? It looks like an old steam train.  My visions stopped at these but I believed these visions had to do with a previous occupier of the home, someone related to Ava, who was either parents or relatives of Ava.
Ava confirmed that these visions were associated with her mother who had committed suicide many years ago in that home she now lives in.  Ava's mother had never forgiven her husband for an affair he had.  He fell in love with an English lady whom he had met during one of his travels. Ava's parents had big fights over the issue which affected a very young Ava then.  Her father finally left  home to live in England with his new love and never saw Ava or her mother again.  This explained my vision of the man with the luggage leaving through a door as well as another vision of the clock tower which I realized was actually the Big Ben. The  years of loneliness and resentment that Ava's mother had experienced after, took a toll on her mental well-being that she often called her home a "prison".  This explained my vision of the small room that looked like a prison cell.  Ava felt that her mother had suffered imprisonment within her own mind.
I believed that this incident in the past, had imprisoned Ava from her bid to find a direction in her life where she could start afresh.  She was still living in that home, she had anxiety issues herself, she had just come out of a messy divorce and she was unclear what her goals were when I asked.

Connecting The Story With The Querant Through Numerology
The next thing I did was to do a numerological assessment for her to help me piece that connection between her experience in the past and it's impact on her life now.
Ava had  a hidden emotional number 4.  This indicated that she was quite repressive.  She kept her true feelings within herself although she was highly sensitive.  She also disliked any kind of emotional situations that could potentially cause her a lot of stress and discomfort.  She was quite practical though and would mask her true feelings just to get things done.  This explained why Ava had never shared this background of her past with me, but instead wanted to soldier through her feelings of guilt to sell her home so that she could move on. Yet, she felt undecided if that was the right thing to do.
She had a hidden physical number 2.  She could be  very sensitive, and might suffer from lack of confidence.  She was very vulnerable and self conscious, and had the potential to suffer anxiety and depression. This connected very much to the cord of negativity that I had felt in her heart.

Ava had a hidden intuitive number  2.  This explained why her crown and third eye chakras were buzzing.  She was highly intuitive and extremely sensitive.  She had a tendency to direct her thoughts to spiritual and metaphysical matters.  I believed that Ava also had the traits of an empath, although she was not aware of it herself. Her sensitivity had led her to assume the same depression, anxiety and fear that her mother had suffered from.
Her character number was 4. This meant that Ava was a practical person who had a strong streak of determination in her.  She might have realized for awhile that she needed to sell her home and move on, hence her approaching me for advice about selling her home.  However, she was wrought with so much guilt about losing the home and fear about facing a new future of uncertainties. In spite of these feelings, her repressive 4 character found it difficult for her to give me a more in - depth background of her situation.

Using Tarot To Complete The Story And Provide Advice
I picked 3 cards to affirm my understanding of Ava's mother.  The High Priestess Reversed, 3 of Swords Reversed and Queen of Swords Reversed showed up.  These  were classic cards in Tarot that confirmed that Ava's mother suffered a broken heart from her husband's affair and spent the rest of her days living in bitterness.

I then picked 3 cards to connect Ava with her past and the 5 of Cups Reversed, 6 of Swords Reversed and King of Wands Reversed showed up.  These were interesting picks as I saw the indelible mark that the trauma of her mother's broken marriage and eventual suicide had caused Ava.  Ava suffered a lot of residual resentment, hurt, regret and guilt for her mother's suffering that Ava herself now suffered a low self esteem and tremendous lack of confidence. She had dreams of starting afresh in a new country but had no courage to act upon these dreams.

Her current situation with the house was manifested in the 2 of Swords Reversed and the 8 of Swords Reversed which told  me that she was actually ready to put the past behind her and embrace change.  However she was stuck with the indecision of what to do with the home and where her best options lie because of the associated guilt of giving up her childhood home.

To help provide her with the options to make the right decision I picked the World Reversed to ascertain if Ava should keep her home, rent it out and make best use of her life in Frankfurt. This card clearly indicated that this option would prevent her from getting the closure she needed from her past.
I then picked the Death card to ascertain if she should sell the home, and use the proceeds to relocate to France. This was a clear indicator that she should put that major aspect of her life behind her and look to embracing a new future ahead of her. Selling that home would kickstart that process.
I decided then to finish my reading by picking 2 cards to offer her  generic advice on how to manage her future direction.   The Page of Pentacles and the Star card showed up. These cards advised her to turn her desires into a tangible goal by putting together a viable action plan.  She had so much to do,  She had  to start the administrative process of putting the home up for sale, look for a job in France, find a new home there and the list of "to-do"s while daunting, just had to be systematically acted upon if she wanted to see some light at the end of the tunnel.  Her future was full of hope and positivity, but she needed to act on it now to turn her life around.

Telling The Story In A Compelling Manner
When I read for my clients, I am ultimately putting pieces of the puzzle together to write a compelling story for  them so that they could get a clearer picture  from which they could see beyond what they had originally wanted to see.  Ava's is one such story where she finally came to terms with the fact that her clinging on to her home was her way of keeping her mother in her memory out of guilt.  As a daughter, she felt helpless that she could not be of more help and support to her mother.  However, I told her that "Mum wants you to know that you will bring her much pride and put her spirit at rest if you could move on to build a more productive life for yourself  in another  home that promises to be better and happier."
I was so glad I had let my intuition take the lead and trusted the messages behind the vision that I got.

This is a true account of a reading for my client.  All names and locations have been changed to protect his or her privacy.

Tarot Tip Tuesdays - Tune Out Skepticism And Tune Into Self

Whether you are new to Tarot and in the throes of building a connection with your Tarot cards or an advanced Tarot reader diligently honing your Tarot reading skills, I am putting out a Tarot tip a week to help you to consistently make Tarot a part of your everyday life.

So here goes your Tarot Tip for this Tuesday:

You have learnt to read the Tarot cards for awhile and have been excitedly practising your readings on others.  Some are grateful for your skills, others will view it with curiosity and attempt to "try you out", and there are even more out there who think you will end up a looney old lady living alone in a nursing home, talking to your Tarot cards.

Yes.  Expect skepticism from others.  When I started out, I had questions like "Where did you park your broom?", "Is it black magic?" or "What science is this?"  Just remember  that skepticism is often a result of lack of understanding of what you do.  it happens in every career choice one might make and not necessarily confined to the experience of a Tarot reader.  So remember that when you are confronted by questions like these, just explain it with the genuine intent to educate them.  Be opened about your philosophy about Tarot.  Help them understand that it is not a fortune-telling tool, but a tool that helps provide guidance and options to help them make their own decisions.  If they are opened to the idea,  give them a mini reading to let them experience your style.

What is worse than facing skepticism from others, would probably be facing skepticism from within you.   Sometimes, your rational mind will come in the way of your intuition.  Remember that a healthy dose of skepticism is really okay.  As you spend more time practicing your readings, you will be more confident with your skills.  All you will need is a good mix of consistent practice and the ability to tune out the noises of scepticism from others and yourself, to better tune into yourself.

May your Tarot cards provide you with a full deck of possibilities throughout your day.

Intuitive Readings With Sun Goddess Tarot

A common question I often get from those not familiar with me is, "What is your Tarot reading style?" or " What can I expect when I book a reading with you?" This blog post not only touches on my reading style but also aims to appropriately set your expectations when you decide to call on me for advice.

Learning to combine knowledge with my intuition from a very young age
When I was a child, I was very interested in cartomancy.  In fact, I was an odd child who took interest in complex concepts like Communism.  At 5 years old, I understood what the word Proletariat meant.  I knew who Engels, Marx and Lenin were. That was because Dad was a little left-off-centre so I grew up humming to the Communist anthem, The International, instead of singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars.  As an adult, and a Certified Numerologist, I explained this odd behaviour with my Character number 7.  Persons governed by the 7 energy are often thinkers and analysers who could process complex technical, scientific, esoteric, spiritual and philosophical concepts and comprehend them well.

When it came to fun, while other kids played with dolls and Lego, I was brandishing a deck of regular playing cards and a cartomancy book I had found in Dad’s library.  I think, my curiosity was piqued because granny is highly intuitive, although we all thought she was a little batty then.  I believe that even at that very young age, I had combined my intuition with what I had learnt in that cartomancy book to experiment with my interpretation of the regular playing cards.  Again, I explained this away with my Character number 7.   When I visited a Tarot reader regularly as an adult, I was not interested in just listening to the advice she provided with her cards.  I was just as interested in the way she interpreted each card.

Discovering My Purpose
Over the years, my intuition developed with a few life-changing experiences that had left an indelible mark on me like a divorce, single motherhood, standing at career crossroads and navigating health issues, like a breast cancer scare.   Fuelled by these experiences and armed with the belief that I could turn my life around, I formally studied Tarot, Numerology and Astrology voraciously and am now a Certified Professional Tarot reader, Numerologist and Astrologer.  With my knowledge of these multiple metaphysical disciplines, I found my purpose of using them to help and support others who had been through similar life journeys as I did.

Combining Tarot, Numerology and Astrology with my intuition
My reading style combines the use of Tarot, Numerology and Astrology overlaid with my intuition.  I believe that it lends greater depth to a reading particularly when it compels greater insights about your response to a particular situation due to your numerological and astrological influences.  I believe that an intuitive reading is not meant to foretell a future or to help you anticipate an outcome like a “self-fulling prophecy”.  A reading is meant to help open your mind and heart to the several options that you can use to make informed decisions in a bid to shape your own desired outcomes.
A person typically is governed by an astrological sign and its planetary influence which impacts his or her character, behaviours, experiences and responses to situations.  You will also have several numerological vibrations attached to his or her birth date and name.  When you understand the positives and negatives of your astrological sign and each of these numbers, you can then leverage these positives and downplay these negatives in order to better manage your direction towards the outcome that you hopes to shape.
When I overlay the insights from Numerology and Astrology with a Tarot spread created for you,  I will then take an advice-centric approach to the way I deliver my interpretation of the cards because of my base knowledge of your numerological and astrological make-up.

An example of how an intuitive reading works when I combine Tarot, Numerology and Astrology
Susan is born on 7 October 1976.  She is a Libra, her ruling planet is Venus and the sign is governed by Air element.  Her corresponding Tarot significator is the Queen of Swords.  Susan values relationships and spends a lot of time trying to create the perfect relationship either at home with her boyfriend, or her boss and colleagues at work.  She has strong opinions about principles and ideas and has a lot of passion for championing the cause of working single-mothers as she is one herself.  As a Libran, Susan tends to avoid conflicts or any emotional situations if she could help it.  She has a Character number 7, a Life path number 4 and a Destiny number 3.  In a nutshell, Susan thinks and analyzes a lot about any issues that come her way.  She is also a bit of a loner and tends to be quite introspective whilst internalizing her feelings within her.  Her life path presupposes that life provides her with opportunities to be a very reliable and practical person, who is good at organizing resource or events  and managing projects.  She has a meticulous eye for detail and will often go out of the way to ensure that whatever she plans for either family or her colleagues, everyone is happy and her projects are delivered to expectations.  As her destiny number is a 3, Susan has gifts and talents to bring sunshine and happiness to people around her.  As she is such a reliable friend, partner and colleague, she takes on a lot of responsibility to help and support people around her with the purpose of keeping them happy.  However, in trying to make them happy, she is sometimes quite repressive and does not express how she truly feels about a situation although she might have differing opinions about it or she might be exhausted.
When Susan asked for advice after falling out with her boss, the two Tarot cards that jumped out at me from her spread were the Ace of Cups reversed and the 8 of Swords.    Understanding Susan’s numerological and astrological make-up helped me understand that the crux of the issue laid with Susan’s inability to openly communicate to her boss about how she truly felt about the situation.  Instead, she had clouded her mind with a lot of negative perceptions about her boss.  When I further discussed the matter with her, she revealed that her boss had accused her of making a decision about a project without consulting the rest of the team.  However, Susan felt that as someone with almost 18 years of experience in her role, she was qualified to make an informed decision that she had felt was beneficial to the business.  Her boss’ accusation hit a raw nerve with Susan because she felt it questioned her capability.
Our discussion about Susan’s numerological and astrological influences shed light on her reaction to the situation.  As a character 7, Susan often preferred to work alone.  She also felt her decisions were well thought through and she had done the due diligence of analyzing all facets of the situation.  In many ways, while Susan could have been a better team player by communicating her intent to the team and her boss.  Susan had withdrawn into herself after that tiff with her boss and had not brought up the incident since.  However, the situation had festered so badly that she had decided that she wanted to look for a new job.  As a Libran, working with the right people and keeping that interpersonal relationship with them is so important to her.  She wanted her boss to value her expertise and experience.  She wanted to make a difference to the team and the business and be recognized for her contributions.  However, as Susan did not want to rock the boat further, and just wanted things to get better on its own, her inability to be openly honest and to express how she truly felt had widen the rift between her boss and her.
So my advice to Susan was to give her boss a chance.  She should not shape her relationship with her boss based on negative perceptions by second-guessing how she thought the boss felt about her.  Instead, she should utilize the strengths of her life path 4 and the logical capabilities of her Libran qualities to plan a structured conversation with her boss to openly talk about how she wanted to constructively mend the relationship and effectively work as a  team.
